Crunchy snow, sleeping nature around you and the fresh air: a winter walk can be wonderful! But after such a cold walk you often long for warmth. When you get home you might therefore look for ways to warm up as quickly as possible. Fortunately, you can do this without having to turn up the heating. Check out the handy tips in this article, so that you can warm up quickly in winter.

1 - Warmth from within

By means of warm food and drink you will quickly feel wonderfully warm again. For example with a cup of tea or hot chocolate, or a delicious bowl of soup. Here you can not only warm your hands, but you also warm yourself from the inside with every sip. With a cup of tea choose herbs such as ginger, cinnamon or turmeric. These have warming properties that help your body to warm up faster.

2 - A warm shower or bath

A warm shower is relaxing and gets your circulation going again. A bath can also be very nice if you have time for it. Are you going for a warm bath? Then add essential oils, such as eucalyptus or lavender. This way your muscles can completely relax after the walk.

Extra tip: finish your shower with a few seconds of cold water . This may not sound nice at all, but it helps your blood circulation and can strengthen your immune system.

3 - Wear layers

Once you are inside, it is helpful to put on dry, warm clothing. Choose warm, soft fabrics that absorb moisture and retain heat. Layers help to retain your body heat better. Wear thick, woolen socks or even slippers with lining on your feet to warm up cold toes.

4 - Use a heating blanket

An infrared heating blanket is ideal for warming up quickly after a brisk walk. Lie down on the couch and turn on the blanket to be warmed from the inside out. It works best if your body is in direct contact with the blanket. Grab your hot drink and get ready to lounge on the couch for a while. Super cozy and you'll be warmed up again in no time!

A cozy winter

A hot drink, a nice heated blanket and a cozy atmosphere ensure that you are nice and warm again as soon as possible. This way you do not have to turn up the heating immediately after your winter walk and you save energy. That is not only nice for your wallet, but also for the environment!
